TEWKSBURY, Mass. —

A suspect is facing several charges after allegedly stealing a phone from a woman at a motel, then leading officers on a chase across Interstate 495 in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Tuesday night.

Jean Guzman Familia, 33, of Lawrence, is charged with unarmed robbery, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, breaking and entering in the daytime. He was also wanted for an outstanding warrant.

According to the Tewksbury Police Department, Guzman Familia broke into a room at the Motel 6 on Main Street around 9:23 p.m. and took a woman's cell phone who was staying in the room.

He fled the scene and was spotted a short time later running into a wooded area near Main Street and the highway.
