CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Charlotte woman was charged after she allegedly assaulted a federal agent outside of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office, according to Russ Ferguson, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

According to the criminal complaint, on Sunday, Nov. 16, 44-year-old Heather Morrow and a group of people were outside of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement & Removal Operations office in Charlotte and allegedly tried to impede law enforcement.

Officials said that a federal officer had just arrived to work when they encountered the group of people, including Morrow, who was blocking the entrance.

It was not made clear if the agent was with Border Patrol or ICE.
