GLADWIN, MI — Connecticut-based Inline Plastics Corp. has informed state officials it will permanently close its Mid-Michigan facility in early January.

The manufacturing facility, at 705 Weaver Court in Gladwin, will shut down permanently on Jan. 12, according to a WARN notice filed with the state.

The closure is anticipated to affect 25 employees, all of whom will be terminated, states a Nov. 11 letter from company attorney Alicia Orkisz.

“All affected employees have been notified of their separation dates and that their separation from employment will be permanent,” wrote Orkisz, who is the daughter of third-generation company owner Tom Orkisz.

“The affected employees are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights,” she stated.
