SALT LAKE CITY — A car was wedged underneath a trailer with two occupants inside, the Utah Highway Patrol said, after a crash on northbound state Route 36 in Tooele County on Wednesday.

The crash occurred at Canyon Road and was impacting traffic.

LifeFlight was called to the scene. Officials said one person was in critical condition while the other was in poor but stable condition. One of the patients was transported to Primary Children’s Hospital.
