ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KALB) - A St. Landry Parish man was arrested for livestock theft on Nov. 19 following an investigation by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry’s Livestock Brand Commission.

LDAF said its investigation revealed that Richard P. Breaux , 58, allegedly received eight head of livestock on three separate occasions between February and March and failed to render proper payment to a local livestock market in Allen Parish, as required by law.

Breaux was arrested on three counts of theft of livestock and was booked in Allen Parish.

At the time of this publication, a bond has not been set, and the livestock have not been recovered.
