INDIANAPOLIS — Reigning Indianapolis 500 and four-time defending IndyCar Series champion Alex Palou's likeness now lives forever on the Borg-Warner Trophy.
The sculpture of Palou's face was unveiled during an event Nov. 19 at The Above Event Center at Commission Row in downtown Indianapolis.
Following the unveiling of Palou's likeness, the celebration moved to the nearby Gainbridge Fieldhouse where Palou will sit courtside during the Indiana Pacers game against the Charlotte Hornets. It's a full-circle moment for Palou as he attended a Pacers playoff game after winning the "500" in May.
