The 2025 NFL International Games on NFL Network averaged 6.2 million viewers* (TV+Digital) across six games (one in Dublin, three in London, one in Berlin, and one in Madrid) – ranking as the most-watched NFL Network International Games season average on record. The 6.2 million average viewers is up 32% versus last year’s international game slate on NFL Network.
Sunday’s game at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, featuring the Miami Dolphins’ 16-13 overtime win over the Washington Commanders, averaged 5.9 million viewers (TV+Digital) – ranking as a top-five NFL Network international game on record. Additionally, Commanders-Dolphins peaked with over eight million viewers in the final 13 minutes of the game.
This will only fuel the NFL's desire to have an international team at some point. While the league receives plenty of pushback from its fans on the possible expansion, the numbers may say otherwise.
