With the onset of winter, Indian Railways is bracing for disruptions due to dense fog, which is expected to cause significant delays and cancellations for long-distance trains. Over the next three months (December-February), several trains are projected to be cancelled due to the foggy weather conditions.
In this regard, the East Central Railway (ECR) has cancelled a total of 24 pairs of trains (48 individual train services) from December 1, 2025, until March 3, 2026. Passengers are advised to look for an alternate train and plan their journey accordingly.
These cancellations by Indian Railways will be phased in and affect various routes, with specific trains like the Dibrugarh–Chandigarh Express and Kamakhya–Anand Vihar Express being impacted.
