AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) — A suspect has been arrested, and another is wanted in relation to a shooting that left a 3-year-old injured in downtown Augusta over the weekend.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of Tenth Street on Sunday around 2:28 AM in reference to shots fired.

On scene, a three-year-old girl was found with a single gunshot wound while in a car with her mother.

The car was traveling through the area when they were hit by a bullet, according to deputies.

The sheriffs office says the shot was fired during a dispute between two groups of people.
