PHOENIX — The roof of a west Phoenix mall partially collapsed on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, crews responded to Desert Sky Mall, located near 75th Avenue and Thomas Road, around 5:35 p.m. for reports of a roof collapse.

Phoenix Fire Captain Todd Keller then confirmed a short time later that there was a partial roof collapse at the mall.

It is not known if anyone was injured in the incident.

It is also unclear if the partial roof collapse was caused by the thunderstorm moving through the area.

This is a developing story.
