Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President DK Shivakumar on Wednesday indicated that he may soon step down as the state Congress chief.
Speaking at an event in Bengaluru on Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary, he said, "I cannot remain in this position forever… It has been five-and-a-half years, and it will be six in March. Other leaders should also get an opportunity."
Shivakumar assured party workers that he would remain active in leadership, saying he intends to complete his goal of establishing 100 party offices during his tenure.
