City commissioners discussed and voted not to bump an auditor's investigation into the city’s purchasing card program to being top priority on its list of audits.
City Manager Deric Feacher said his team reviewed recent P Card transactions and found nothing out of line. He explained that the food purchases and multiple hotel charges, some of which were questioned, were tied to legitimate city business.
"If you do not see it all in context, you would think that I am just spending my card at a certain place to provide food to whoever," Feacher said. "But really, there are legitimate things that take place from our advisory boards, our CRA boards, our downtown development authorities, and events that we provide that for."
