SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - On Wednesday, ten thousand pounds of pork loin were donated for distribution to shelters in Sioux Falls as well as rural and tribal communities, including all nine reservations in South Dakota.

With the help of the South Dakota Farmers Union and Farmers Union Industries, Team Buche Cares was able to make this donation.

The nonprofit is looking to ensure everyone has a meal to eat just in time for Thanksgiving next week.

“It’s just filling a basic need everybody deserves to eat, and that’s what we are about, making sure that if we can accomplish one thing by making sure someone doesn’t go to bed hungry, I have a decent day,” said R.F. Buche.
