WACO, Texas — Donors, volunteers and other helpers have come together in support of McLennan Community College, helping to raise over $16,000 for the college's campus pantry.
MCC said its community raised a total of $16,255, which will allow them to stock the pantry with holiday items and to open the pantry to an additional visit for all shoppers.
"During a time when so many of our students face real challenges, the response of our campus community has been nothing short of inspiring," MCC said in a post on social media. "Through giving, volunteering, donating goods and making sure needs are met, our campus has shown what it means to live out a culture of compassion and care."
The college thanked everyone who contributed to the pantry for their support.
