VIRGINIA CITY FOOTHILLS, Nev. (KOLO) - A $500 reward is being offered for information in a series of vehicle burglaries that happened early Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Virginia City Foothills, according to Secret Witness news release.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect may be driving a newer-model white hatchback-style SUV, the release said.

More than a dozen victims reported items were taken from the their vehicles, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies believe the burglaries happened around 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.

In each case, the suspect entered vehicles through unlocked doors and attempted to enter dozens more that were secured, deputies said.
