President Donald Trump has doubled down on the need to bring in skilled foreign workers to support America's tech industries, despite a backlash from MAGA supporters over his softening stance on H-1B visas. Speaking at the US-Saudi Investment Forum, Trump underscored that a foreign workforce was needed to "teach our people" to make "computer chips and other things".

Trump's emphatic pitch for foreign workers, even as his administration tightens rules around the H1-B visa programme , has angered his MAGA supporters, who have accused the President of losing touch with his "America First" agenda.
