REX — Across Georgia, more than 1.4 million people, or 1 in 8 residents, struggle with food insecurity.
Among them are over 520,000 seniors and people with disabilities, 40.8% of single mothers relying on SNAP, and more than half a million working Georgians who still can’t afford basic nutrition.
To help meet this urgent need, New Testament Worldwide Gospel Ministries and r4 Smart Food Program are hosting the Seventh Annual Turkey Drive on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 6755 Fielder Road, Rex.
The event will provide more than 2,000 turkeys, fresh produce and essential groceries to families across the region.
“Each turkey isn’t just food — it’s answered prayers, restored hope, and a reminder that nobody faces hunger alone,” said Paul Breitenbach, founder and CEO of r4 Tec
