A freezing fog advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 11:55 p.m. in effect until Thursday at 9 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong, Westmoreland and Indiana counties.

The weather service says to be ready for, "Visibility one quarter mile or less in freezing fog."

"Low visibility and a light glaze of ice, especially on bridges and over passes could make driving conditions hazardous," comments the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
