Karan Johar recently spoke with striking vulnerability in a recent interview, where he admitted feeling lonely at times, especially when he has no one to eat with or celebrate his achievements with. While the filmmaker has accepted his singlehood, he also believes in “never say never” when it comes to finding love again.

On Sania Mirza 's podcast, Karan reflected on his emotional journey, saying, “I’m okay now. There was a point in time when I really wanted love. I wanted companionship, I wanted a relationship. And I went through all kinds of dynamics, a broken heart, and one-sided love. I even made a film (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil) on it. That was cathartic; it helped me heal.”
