Roblox is implementing new safety measures requiring age verification for communication to protect its young users on the platform. The company tells KOAT it hopes this initiative will set a new industry standard across other apps.
Roblox, which boasts 150 million daily users, can be accessed on phones, computers, game consoles, and VR headsets.
"The vast, vast majority are using it in creative ways," Roblox Vice President of Global Public Affairs Nicky Jackson Colaco said. "It's actually thousands and thousands of games and not just games, but experiences. So you can come to Roblox to learn a new skill or visit a museum across the world, learn how to run a business."
