A man injured in a violent home invasion by three hooded men at Gunnedah this week has been released from hospital.
Oxley Police Detective Acting Inspector Andrew Jeffrey said the 57-year-old man, who sustained serious head and upper body injuries during the assault, was now assisting Oxley police with the investigation.
"There are three persons of interest we still want to speak to assist us with our ongoing investigations," Detective Jeffrey said.
The aggravated break-in took place at a house on Eighth Division Memorial Avenue in Gunnedah about 2am on Wednesday, November 19.
Police were told two men forced their way into the home, while a third offender remained outside as a lookout.
