Residents mobilize as possible gravel pit raises alarms along Blackfoot River corridor

Concerns continue to build in the Blackfoot River corridor after the recent sale of a 65-acre property along Highway 200, only a few miles east of Bonner. The land sold for 1.6 million dollars and, although no application has been filed with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, a zoning discovery, or rather lack thereof, rose hackles. That discovery prompted swift reaction from nearby residents.
