WELLS — The Escanaba Eskymos hockey team took the ice for the first time this season and ran away with a 7-0 triumph over the Kingsford Flivvers here Tuesday. The Eskymos got production from all three scoring lines and senior goalie Culley Hayes stopped all 19 shots in the win.
“I just wanted to keep the puck in front of me,” Hayes said. “The boys made it easy for me tonight I just had to stop the first one. It felt great to get back on the ice we haven’t had a lot of practice but it felt good to get things going.”
The Eskymos scored their first goal with 11:48 to go in the first quarter as Hunter Allen scored off assists by Gunnar LaMarche and Griffin Johnson to put the Eskymos up 1-0.
With 6:03 to go in the first quarter, Ben Sands fired the pass to Griffin Johnson who found Caron Hug
