MANISTIQUE — The Crystal Falls Forest Park Trojans reaped the benefits of running a balanced attack here Tuesday night in a 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-14) volleyball triumph over the Atlanta Huskies in a Division 4 state quarterfinal match.
Forest Park (42-1) is making its third semifinal appearance in four years today at noon (EST) against Fowler (34-8-2) at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek. The Huskies finished 36-2-1.
A victory would enable the Trojans to become only the second Upper Peninsula team to play in a state championship match.
In 2008, Calumet reached the Class C final where it dropped a 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-17) decision to Schoolcraft.
