Mumbai Metro One and Autope Payment Solutions Ltd have installed 996 smart lockers across 12 Blue Line stations. This will improve last-mile logistics, streamline e-commerce deliveries, and make commuting easier.
The lockers are intended for metro users who often need short-term storage while visiting offices, markets, eateries, or other transportation hubs. As per reports, nearly 5 lakh daily commuters are expected to benefit from this rollout.
The smart lockers provide safe storage for personal belongings, food, packages, and online orders. Autope already operates 25,000 lockers in 250 Delhi Metro stations. They plan to bring the same expertise to Mumbai to connect urban logistics with public transport.
Users can access the lockers via a mobile app, SMS, or QR code scan. The lockers
