Mumbai: Mumbai Metro One, in partnership with Autope Payment Solutions Ltd, has installed 996 smart lockers across 12 stations on the Blue Line to improve last-mile connectivity, streamline e-commerce deliveries and offer added convenience to commuters. The rollout is expected to benefit nearly five lakh daily passengers, according to reports.

The smart lockers are designed for metro users who need short-term storage while visiting offices, markets, eateries or connecting to other transport hubs. They can securely store personal items, food, parcels and online orders. Autope, which already operates 25,000 lockers across 250 Delhi Metro stations, aims to bring the same logistics integration to Mumbai’s urban transport network.
