The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) recently announced no changes will be made to Personal Independence Payment (PIP) until a review of the current eligibility process has been completed. Minister for Social Security and Disability Sir Stephen Timms will co-produce the review with disabled groups and charities, which is expected to be completed next Autumn. ‌

The Scottish Government has also reconfirmed that people on disability benefits in Scotland will not be impacted by any changes made to PIP. Adult Disability Payment (ADP) has now replaced the DWP benefit for all new and existing claimants with a Scottish postcode. ‌
