Kerala Police have registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against a woman and her live-in partner for allegedly influencing her 16-year-old son to join the terrorist organisation ISIS.
According to police, the boy’s uncle brought him to the station on Wednesday and filed a complaint claiming that the minor was radicalised while living in the UK with his mother and her partner. The mother, a nurse, has been separated from her husband for some time.
The complainant alleged that the partner used to show the teenager ISIS videos and encourage him to join the outfit.
He also claimed the boy had said his mother was aware of the radicalisation attempts and did not intervene.
The family has since brought the minor back to India, where he is staying at his ances
