HUNTINGTON -- Former Marshall University football coach Bob Pruett visited the Thundering Herd on Tuesday and gave words of wisdom ahead of the final two games of the regular season.
Marshall needs one win from two chances to reach bowl eligibility. Herd quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson said Pruett fired the team up enough to win a whole season’s worth.
“[Pruett] was telling us to look at it as more of a three-game season,” Del Rio-Wilson said. “We’ve got three games [if bowl eligibility is attained], so go 3-0. We’re focusing on going game-by-game, and reaching that bowl game makes it important.
“He had us super hyped-up. I loved his speech. ... It was good to have him here.”
