(Pierre, SD) — The South Dakota Board of Massage Therapy is no longer accepting complaints about unlicensed massage therapists. State board members voted unanimously for complaints to be sent to local law enforcement due to having no legal authority. The decision comes after a former Sioux Falls massage therapist was accused of inappropriately touching several patients. The board president says referring complaints to local law enforcement is common among the field’s national organization.
