New Delhi: NITI Aayog has constituted a high-level Critical & Strategic Minerals Committee to accelerate India’s efforts in identifying, assessing, and developing critical mineral resources vital for the nation’s energy transition, advanced manufacturing, and strategic sectors.

This significant initiative follows the Ministry of Mines’ recognition of IIT (ISM), Dhanbad as a Centre of Excellence under the National Critical Mineral Mission. The newly formed Committee brings together distinguished experts and senior leadership from premier national institutions and major mining organizations.
