Srinagar: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a raid at the Jammu office of the Kashmir Times on Thursday after registering a case against the publication and its promoters for allegedly promoting activities against the country. Officials confirmed that the search operation involved a thorough examination of the newspaper’s premises, documents and computer systems.
According to investigators, the SIA recovered cartridges of AK rifles, several pistol rounds and hand grenade pins during the raid, along with other material considered relevant to the case. The nature and source of these items are now under scrutiny, and officials said the promoters of the newspaper are likely to be questioned as part of the ongoing probe.
