Whether it's Lonchamp's palm-sized Le Pliage Original (a perfectly shrunken version of the best-selling Tote ) or Ulta Beauty's foray into the small-scale with a Mini Brands beauty collaboration —it was a big year for thiny things. The latest life-sized joiner of the tiny trend? Raul Lopez, founder of the Brooklyn-based fashion brand Luar in collaboration with TRESemmé.

“All my homegirls and all my friends love a hair clip,” Lopez tells Vogue over the phone. That's where the idea of a claw clip in the shape of his iconic Ana Bag was born. “It's such an old school hair accessory that's really making a comeback and this is how Luar interprets the trend.”
