FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Kentucky Parole Board is set to conduct a full review Thursday for Ronald Exantus, the man released early from prison after serving less than half of his sentence in connection with the death of a 6-year-old Woodford County child.

As previously reported, Exantus was arrested last month in Marion County, Florida, for failing to register as a convicted felon following his mandatory supervision release.

According to the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, Exantus waived his right to a revocation hearing after being brought back to Kentucky.

In 2018, Exantus was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the 2015 stabbing death of 6-year-old Logan Tipton inside the family’s Versailles home. He was also found guilty but mentally ill for stabbing T
