Teaser: 'The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping' Is Brilliantly Cast

I’ll concede that I did not love Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping , mostly because it felt a little repetitive, we already knew the contours of Haymitch Abernathy’s story, and it was bleak . But I am nevertheless into the trailer, in part because of the cast .

First and foremost, they found the perfect guy to play a younger Plutarch Heavensbee (played originally by Phillip Seymour Hoffman): Jesse Plemons. That’s solid casting. Joseph Zada ( We Were Liars ) is a good Haymitch, and I love Elle Fanning for Effie Trinket and Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman.
