Google announced Thursday it is working with OG&E to pay for infrastructure needed for two proposed data centers to be built in Muskogee County as the industry faces opposition over potential strain on power and feared rate increases for residential customers.
The $3.4 trillion company already has a data center in Pryor and is building yet another operation in Stillwater. The company’s latest expansion will include data center campuses near the towns of Summit and Council Hill.
