The PSNI said officers remain at the scene and urged drivers to avoid the Windyhill Road area of Macosquin.

A spokesperson added: “Windyhill Road is closed at its junctions with the Bolea Road and Greenhall Highway roundabout.

"Please seek an alternative route for your journey at this time.”

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Services (NIAS) said that a call was received at 9:51 am on Thursday.

“NIAS tasked two emergency ambulances and the charity air ambulance with HEMS on board were also tasked to the scene,” added a spokesperson. “No one was taken from the scene.”
