HUDSONVILLE, Mich. — A Hudsonville graduate and Davenport University football player was arrested this week after being shot multiple times in Alabama in July.

Ethan Carter, 18, survived being shot seven times this summer after graduating from Hudsonville High School and committing to play football at Davenport University. He was in Birmingham, Alabama to train – something he’s been doing since eighth grade – when he was shot.

Months after the shooting, Carter was arrested for possession of machine guns. He was released from custody on a $10,000 bond on Wednesday.
