NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A school bus with elementary students on board was involved in a crash with at least two other vehicles on Thursday morning.

A spokesperson for Metro Nashville Public Schools confirmed the collision happened as the bus made its way to Lakeview Elementary School.

Three students were on board when it was hit, and they reported minor injuries, according to spokesperson for MNPS. The students were transported to the hospital for treatment out of precaution, the spokesperson said.

The school bus driver was not injured.

The parents of the students were notified.

The injury statuses of the other drivers involved are unknown.
