Niall McGinn was delighted to see five of his old Aberdeen pals help Scotland end their 27-year-long wait to reach the World Cup finals with that epic win over Denmark. ‌

And the former winger has singled one of the quintet as the Dark Blues unsung' hero' in the 4-2 triumph over the Danes that sent Steve Clarke's side to North America . ‌

McGinn played alongside goal scorers Kenny McLean and Lawrence Shankland in his two stints in the Granite City that spanned nine years in total. ‌

He also lined up in midfield with Ryan Christie during the Bournemouth's star's 18-month loan spell with the Dons and Lewis Ferguson , who burst onto the scene at Aberdeen in 2018 and won a big money move to Bologna four years later.
