A national organization dedicated to the public appreciation and research of coins, currency, and medals, will be moving its headquarters from New York City to Toledo, officials announced Thursday.
The American Numismatic Society will be moving from its space in Manhattan to the 103-year-old art deco Professional Building at 1828 Parkwood Ave. adjacent to the campus of the Toledo Museum of Art.
The ANS holds the most comprehensive collection of numismatic objects in the United States, according to a release announcing the move, which is scheduled for the first half of 2028.
