ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Virginia State Police (VSP) will provide an escort Thursday, November 20, for the remains of Department of Corrections (VADOC) Officer Jeremy Lewis Hall, who was killed in the line of duty, according to Virginia State Police.
VSP says the escort will begin at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Western District in Roanoke and will return Officer Lewis to Independence, Va.
Law enforcement will gather along Northside High School Road at 11:00 a.m. and leave once the medical examiner’s office releases the remains, said Virginia State Police.
VSP is warning the public that traffic in the area of Peter’s Creek Rd. and Interstate 581 can expect some traffic delays as the motorcade moves through.
