A 19-year-old college student in Maharashtra's Kalyan, Arnav Jitendra Khaire, died by suicide after allegedly being assaulted in a local train over speaking Hindi.
His father claimed the mental stress from the incident may have pushed him to take the extreme step. Meanwhile, the Kolsewadi Police have registered an accidental death report and begun an investigation.
Arnav was a first-year science student at Kelkar College in Mulund. On the morning of November 18, he was travelling to college in the Ambernath–Kalyan local train when a minor argument broke out between him and a few passengers.
