A Long Island teen was arrested on a gang assault charge after another teen was stabbed in a fight in Brightwaters, authorities said Thursday.

The incident unfolded just before 9 p.m. Wednesday at a parking lot on Orinoco Drive, a spokesperson for the Suffolk County Police Department told the Daily News.

Officers responded to the scene after a person called 911 to report that someone had stabbed a teenager “during a fight between a group of youths.”

Suffolk County police officers arrived and located the victim, later identified as a 17-year-old boy, with multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition, the spokesperson said.

Detectives later identified the suspect as a 17-year-old boy, who was arrested at his home.
