CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority is asking for public input on plans for a new commercial marina on Norris Lake in Claiborne County.

The proposed Tennessee Vues Marina would sit at Clinch River Mile 134.7 and offer public rental boat slips, according to a draft environmental assessment.

The assessment looks at potential impacts the marina could bring to the area. Those include increased noise and traffic, as well as wildlife displacement and tree clearing, among other concerns.

The TVA is accepting comments on the draft through Dec. 22. Feedback can be submitted online, emailed to nepa@tva.gov or mailed to Jessica Wykoff-Carpenter, NEPA Specialist, Tennessee Valley Authority, 400 W. Summit Hill Drive WT 11B, Knoxville, TN 37902.
