WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Two more Indiana state senators have been the target of "swatting" threats during the ongoing redistricting debate.

Sen. Spencer Deery (R-West Lafayette) said someone called police at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, and told dispatch that there was domestic violence at Deery's home and that "there would be a threat of violence to any officers who responded."

Deery says the West Lafayette Police Department recognized the threat as a swatting attempt "that could be resolved without putting my children, or the children on our street who were preparing to board school busses, in a dangerous and stressful situation."
