The Met Office has issued several weather warnings across the UK as temperatures plummet.
There were currently seven yellow alerts for ice in place overnight.
Parts of North East England, Scotland and Yorkshire and Wales have been urged to take caution during the cold spell.
Lincolnshire in the East Midlands also faced an ice warning, as did parts of the East of England, London and South East England.

A map of the areas affected by the latest ice warnings was shared by the Met Office on X.
It urged people to stay 'weather aware' as it shared locations expecting 'wintry showers' and 'icy stretches'.
