A serving UK police officer has died while responding to a 999 call.
The officer had been dispatched to an emergency when he was involved in a fatal collision.
He could not be saved and died at the scene on Wednesday, November 19.

Essex Police said: "Sadly, we can confirm a police officer died in the line of duty yesterday (Wednesday, November 19) following a collision on the A12.
"The officer was responding to an emergency at the time of the collision which took place on the stretch of road near Ingatestone at around 12.25pm.
"At this stage we do not believe any other vehicle was involved and, sadly, the officer died at the scene.
