Liam Gallagher is one of the many music stars paying tribute to Gary 'Mani' Mounfield after his tragic death . This afternoon, it was confirmed by his brother that the Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist had passed away aged 63.

It comes just two years after the passing of his wife Imelda who died in 2023 from cancer.

Mani, from Crumpsall, rose to fame after joining The Stone Roses in the 1980s. He played on both band's albums and was in the Stone Roses until they disbanded in 1996, later joining Primal Scream. In 2011, he announced that he had left Primal Scream to reform the Stone Roses.
