POLICE will allege a Tamworth man led Oxley officers on a chase before injuring three goats and being found in possession of a stash of drugs and cash.

Darren Bruce Curry remains behind bars and faces seven charges including possessing suspected stolen goods including a National Parks jacket, spotlights and thermal imaging tools after an operation in Barraba and Woodsreef.

Curry appeared via video link in Tamworth Local Court where one new charge of possessing $1650 in cash suspected to be the proceeds of crime was laid, and another charge was dropped.

Curry has not been required to enter pleas after the case was adjourned to see if the matter would be taken over by the Director of Public Prosecutions, but it will remain in the local court.
